Compliance Basics

LeadBox helps you manage unsubscribe and permission-related settings for permission-based email. This page explains where those settings live and what they control.

Where to go

Go to Settings -> Compliance.

This is where you review unsubscribe-related settings and workspace-level suppression controls.

Email compliance mode

Look for Email compliance mode.

The current customer-facing modes are:

  • safe
  • off

Use those labels as your reference inside the app.

Unsubscribe text settings

Look for these controls:

  • Unsubscribe footer text
  • Unsubscribe link text
  • Re-subscribe prompt text
  • Re-subscribe button text

Your unsubscribe footer should include . If it does not, LeadBox falls back to default English unsubscribe text.

LeadBox also includes a public unsubscribe and re-subscribe flow, so these settings affect customer-facing email behavior.

Email suppressions

Look for Email suppressions.

Suppressions are workspace-level records that can block future non-transactional sends.

That means unsubscribes and suppressions are not just recordkeeping. They are part of the sending rules the app uses when deciding whether permission-based email should go out.

Go to Outreach -> Webforms for form-specific permission and follow-up settings.

Look for:

  • Consent field
  • Enable double opt-in
  • Enable welcome / auto-reply email

Keep these launch-safe truths in mind:

  • consent capture depends on the form being configured with a consent field
  • double opt-in is supported, but it is not always mandatory
  • welcome / auto-reply email can send after submit or after confirmation
  • after confirmation requires double opt-in

What to keep in mind

Unsubscribes and suppressions can block future non-transactional sending.

Customers should treat consent, lead status, and unsubscribe handling as part of their sending foundation, not as optional cleanup after sending starts.
