Triggers

Triggers let you react to selected events in LeadBox using a limited, rule-based model. They are useful for focused follow-up, but they are intentionally narrower than a broad workflow platform.

What this area is for

Use Triggers when you want to respond to a specific event with a small set of controlled actions.

Where to go in the app

Go to Outreach -> Triggers.

How triggers work

The launch-safe trigger model is built around:

  • an event
  • a match mode
  • flat conditions
  • actions

Recognition cues to look for:

  • Triggers
  • New trigger
  • Trigger view
  • Execution History
  • No executions yet
  • Event
  • Match mode
  • Conditions
  • Actions
  • Flat conditions only, no nested groups.

Available events currently include:

  • Webform submitted
  • Double opt-in confirmed
  • Campaign result changed
  • Lead permission changed
  • Lead stage entered
  • Next action assigned

Available actions currently include:

  • Add tag
  • Move lead stage
  • Set campaign result
  • Start sequence
  • Create note activity
  • Update lead field
  • Send internal notification email

Next Action assignment notifications

The Next action assigned event can be used with the existing Notify Owner action.

An assignment email is attempted only when a matching trigger is active and a valid applicable system template is configured.

The event can be emitted for the supported assignment and reassignment transitions. Creating or reassigning the action still succeeds when no matching active trigger or valid template exists.

Do not use this event description as a promise of scheduled reminders or guaranteed email delivery. Scheduled reminder rules and automatic Create Next Action triggers are not part of the current V1 workflow.

Key limits to understand

Triggers do not use nested condition groups at launch.

Update lead field is effectively append-to-notes only in the current surface.

Send internal notification email is tightly constrained and should not be described as a broad outbound email action.

Depending on your workspace role, trigger setup and management actions may be limited. At launch, some of these actions are limited to workspace owners.
